Tawa Titans Hockey Club
On behalf of Tawa Hockey Club we wanted to say thankyou again for the funding that
Trust House provided towards coaching.
We are an amateur field hockey club based in Porirua, Wellington who’s primarily focused
on supporting, strengthening and promoting active recreation in our community. Our
vision is seeing more kids and adults enjoying hockey and having a life-long love of the
game.
Trust House Foundation grant funding has enabled us over recent years to have coaches
and managers in each of our amateur teams, which has been a key factor in member
experience and ultimately growth in the club (100% over 3 years). Having more focused
coaches has also improved the enjoyment levels of our players, with more structured
systems and processes in place.
Opportunities are created for the community to be involved with the club as a player,
supporter, umpire, manager of coach. Having stronger systems and processes in place
ensures we are able to offer equal opportunities to everyone. For the club this also means
we can dream about bigger projects that meet our community needs.
