Wings Over Wairarapa Air Festival 2021 will be held at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton from 26 to 28 February 2021.
WINGS is unlike any other aviation event – the Wairarapa scenery provides a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of aerial action over three days.
The Vintage Aviator Hood Aerodrome based aircraft collection is without doubt the largest flying collection of flying WWI aircraft in the world. Many of these aircraft will not been seen outside of Hood Aerodrome in Masterton. This collection will feature prominently in the flying programme.
We will also feature WWII, civil, military and agricultural aircraft and helicopters. The Royal New Zealand Air Force will feature with a significant section of each days flying including the T-6C Texan II, C130, A109, NH90, P3 Orion and Boeing 757.
Static displays include the opportunity to get up close with aircraft, emergency services displays, delicious food and wine and market stalls.
Trust House Foundation has been a supporter of WINGS since the beginning of Wairarapa air shows. Their contribution enables us to plan and operate a safe, quality and internationally recognised event which attracts over 25,000 people to the region, in turn benefitting the local community. 2021 will see a repeat of the 2019 STEM and aviation education programme to which we were able to invite 4500 local school children to enjoy the Festival for free.
Simply put, we could not run Wings Over Wairarapa without the support we receive from Trust House.
