The 50th Porirua Anniversary Awards Dinner was a triumph for the City creating a positive vibe around the city and recognising 50 residents who have contributed to our community over recent times.
The event was made possible by the many businesses who financially contributed, not least Mana Community Grants Foundation (who were under the management of Trust House Ltd) who made the largest contribution providing confidence for others to follow.
The evening was attended by 670 guests and catering was by Ruth Pretty of Te Horo.
Te Rauparaha Arena was a fitting venue providing three zones for guests to enjoy, first was an exhibition by Pataka named ‘We built this city’ – guests wandered through this area reminding themselves how things used to be.
The second zone was named the Trust House Illumination Lounge where guests enjoyed Elena on violin and a glass of bubbly, and lastly in the third zone guests dined and were entertained.
The production of the evening reached new heights for Porirua everything from a 32mtr wide blended audio visual experience to ice carvings on every table making the evening a formal, glamorous affair.
Thank you Mana Community Grants Foundation and Trust House for making this celebration possible for our community.
